Sinai Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism
The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, part of the Department of Medicine at Sinai Hospital, provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art endocrine consultative services and care to patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders including:
- Thyroid diseases
- Diabetes
- Lipid disorders
- Osteoporosis and calcium disorders
- Hypogonadism in men and women
- Androgenic disorders in women
- Diseases of the pituitary and adrenal glands

Diagnostic and treatment services include:
- Thyroid ultrasound and biopsy
- Radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer
- Bone densitometry (DEXA scanning)
- Continuous glucose monitoring assessment (CGMS) in patients with diabetes
- Insulin pump therapy
- Diabetes education

Physician Referrals
Outside physicians are encouraged to refer patients to the division for consultation or treatment. Staff members work in close collaboration with referring physicians to ensure continuity of the highest level of care.
Convenience and Accessibility
Increased staffing permits patient appointments to be scheduled promptly.
