The outpatient behavioral health programs at Grace Medical Center are currently located in the building across from the parking garage at 1940 W. Baltimore street.



Grace Medical Center’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinic provides services for depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health needs. Our services include counseling for individuals, groups, couples and families, medication management and referral services for anyone who struggles with substance abuse. 

We also provide care to children between the ages of 5 and 18 who have emotional or behavioral challenges. Our program offers therapeutic services to increase adaptive coping skills and problem-solving. 

Intensive Outpatient Program

Our intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers intensive, outpatient psychiatric services to patients who require less than 24-hour care, but who need more comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment than can be provided in a traditional outpatient setting.

For Adults:

  • Three hours of treatment
  • Individual assessment
  • Medication consultation and evaluation
  • Group psychotherapy treatment
  • Individualized treatment planning and scheduling
  • Support in discharge planning
    *Length of stay is always determined by individualized needs and response to treatment.

For Children:

  • Six hours of treatment
  • Individual assessment
  • Medication consultation and evaluation
  • Group, family and individual psychotherapy treatment
  • Individualized treatment planning and scheduling
  • Support in discharge planning

Partial Hospitalization Programs for Adults and Children

The Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program (PHEP) is an intensive day treatment program for adults and children in need of psychiatric stabilization. Treatment focuses on relief of acute symptoms, establishment of healthy coping skills and collaboration with family and community support resources.

Adults

The Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program for Adults (PHEP-A) is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, social workers, registered nurses and behavioral health technicians.

Children

The Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program for Children (PHEP-C) is a therapeutic intensive day treatment program for children ages 5-12. Treatment is rendered by a multidisciplinary team, which includes a psychiatrist, nurse, clinical social worker, mental health therapist, teacher and two behavioral health technicians. Educational support is provided by the Home and Hospital Program of the Baltimore City Public School System.
