LifeBridge Health President and CEO Jennifer Nickoles Named as a 2026 Influential Marylander
The Daily Record recognition honors leaders making significant contributions to their fields and communities
Jennifer Nickoles, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health, has been named a 2026 Influential Marylander by The Daily Record, recognizing her leadership and contributions to healthcare in Maryland.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Influential Marylanders program honors leaders for significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Maryland. Honorees are selected by The Daily Record’s editors through a nomination process, with Nickoles recognized in the healthcare category.
“The 2026 Influential Marylanders demonstrate an impressive record of accomplishment, leadership and vision. They are actively engaged in the community, and they mentor others,” says Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record.

Nickoles’ selection reflects a career spanning more than three decades in healthcare operations, strategy and leadership. As president and CEO of LifeBridge Health, she leads one of Maryland’s largest integrated health systems, with more than 14,000 employees and $3 billion in annual revenue.
“I am honored by this recognition, which I see as a reflection of the extraordinary people of LifeBridge Health and the work they do every day to care for our patients and communities,” says Nickoles. “Our team is united by our mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. At a time of tremendous change in healthcare, we have both an opportunity and a responsibility to find new ways to expand access, improve affordability and outcomes, and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”
Nickoles was also recently included in The Daily Record’s inaugural MD500, which identifies 500 of Maryland’s most influential and impactful leaders across business, law, nonprofits, higher education and other fields. The MD500 is an editorial list developed through recommendations and research by the publication’s editorial team.
Before joining LifeBridge Health, Nickoles served as president of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and chief of staff for Johns Hopkins Medicine. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also served as chief operating officer of the 250-bed Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital, helping lead the regional response to the public health crisis.
Nickoles holds a Bachelor of Science in business and management and a Master of Science in real estate, both from Johns Hopkins University.
Nickoles and the other 2026 Influential Marylanders will be honored Sept. 30 at The Grand Lodge in Cockeysville. This year’s honorees will also be profiled in a special magazine included with the Oct. 1 issue of The Daily Record and available online.
