A highlight of this year’s event will be the unveiling of a finished mosaic created through Grace Medical Center’s partnership with Art with a Heart. The community participated in creating the artwork during last year’s Community Day and the completed piece will now be unveiled.
Popular community partners also will return, including Sharp Dressed Man, which provides professional clothing and employment support to men preparing for job opportunities.
Community Day also provides an opportunity to highlight a major investment in West Baltimore that many residents never had the chance to fully experience. LifeBridge Health completed a $61.6 million transformation of Grace Medical Center, marking the culmination of a five-year modernization of the former Bon Secours Hospital, which LifeBridge Health acquired in 2019. The transformation included a new facility entrance, expanded parking and green space and state-of-the-art adult and pediatric behavioral health clinics.
The project was completed just as the COVID-19 pandemic began, limiting opportunities for the community to gather and celebrate the transformation.
Community Day is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with neighbors and showcase Grace’s continued role as a health care and community resource in West Baltimore
