Dr. Benjamin Edinger Named Chief of Radiology for LifeBridge Health and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore

Baltimore, MD – LifeBridge Health has promoted Dr. Benjamin Edinger to chief of radiology for LifeBridge Health and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. With an impressive career in body, breast and cardiac imaging, Dr. Edinger brings more than two decades of experience, leadership and innovation to this vital position.

Dr. Edinger has served as the interim chief of radiology for LifeBridge Health since April 2024, where he oversaw imaging services across the five-hospital system. His leadership has been instrumental in implementing key initiatives, including multiple AI workflow algorithms, a contrast-enhanced mammography program and the upcoming launch of the Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) program. Additionally, he continues to address significant imaging utilization, safety and peer review improvements system-wide.
Before his interim role, Dr. Edinger served as chair of radiology at Northwest Hospital and medical director of radiology for Northwest, Sinai and Grace Medical Center, where he led quality assurance projects, optimized imaging protocols and drove multidisciplinary collaborations.
With a Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Dr. Edinger’s education and experience in radiology position him as an exemplary leader for LifeBridge Health's imaging services. His published research on radiology productivity, imaging protocols and peer-reviewed articles in leading journals further demonstrate his commitment to the field.
