Dawn Owens Joins Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Grace Medical Center as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services

Baltimore, MD– LifeBridge Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Owens, BSN, MBA, RN, CENP, as chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Grace Medical Center. She began her new role on January 15. 

Owens joins Sinai and Grace after serving as CNO at MedStar Health in Maryland and WellStar Health in Atlanta. She started her nursing career at Tulane University Hospital and advanced to positions at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Sinai Hospital, where she was director of clinical operations in the cancer institute and nurse manager from 2009-2015.

Shlossman also points to Owens’ experience in developing strong multi-disciplinary teams and using data-driven metrics to elevate clinical performance and patient experience.

Owens is certified in executive nursing practice from the American Organization of Nurse Executives and is finishing her doctorate in healthcare administration through the Medical University of South Carolina. She has served as past president of the Maryland Organization of Nurse Leaders and as adjunct faculty at Marymount University, Catholic University and Morgan State University, developing the pipeline of future nurses.
