Expert Heart Care for Children and Adolescents
Pediatric cardiology at LifeBridge Health is tailored to meet the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents with heart conditions. Our experts consult with Alicia Chaves, M.D., and other physicians from the Children’s Heart Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center to diagnose, monitor and manage heart murmurs, palpitations, chest pain and syncope, among other pediatric heart conditions.
Cardiac care for infants and children requires a blend of compassion and expertise. Our full-time pediatric cardiologist at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital collaborates with patients and their families to develop individualized treatment plans. Depending on the severity of the condition, children may be referred to regional healthcare institutions for specialized care.
