Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program at Grace Medical Center

The Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program (PHEP) is an intensive day treatment program for adults and children in need of psychiatric stabilization. Treatment focuses on relief of acute symptoms, establishment of healthy coping skills and collaboration with family and community support resources.

Adults
The Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program for Adults (PHEP-A) is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, social workers, registered nurses and behavioral health technicians.

Children
The Partial Hospitalization Empowerment Program for Children (PHEP-C) is a therapeutic intensive day treatment program for children ages 5-12. Treatment is rendered by a multidisciplinary team, which includes a psychiatrist, nurse, clinical social worker, mental health therapist, teacher and two behavioral health technicians. Educational support is provided by the Home and Hospital Program of the Baltimore City Public School System.

Psychiatric Day Treatment at Levindale

Levindale's short-term psychiatric day treatment is an intensive program for older adults, who are experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties and are in need of stabilization. Treatment focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms, the development of skills for managing mental health, identifying community resources and discharge planning. Patients receive services via telehealth in the comfort of their own homes, provided by a skilled team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, registered nurses and social workers specializing in the older adult population.

Partial Hospitalization Program at Carroll Hospital

If you're ready to begin the transition to home after an inpatient stay, or if you don't require 24-hour care for your condition, our Partial Hospitalization Program is for you.

This unique program offers:

  • Six hours of clinically intensive, structured care in a less restricted environment

  • The ability to sleep and spend a part of your day in your own home

  • Psychiatric assessment, evaluation and consultation

  • Group and family therapies

  • Medication monitoring and education

  • Discharge planning coordinated with community resources to enhance successful recovery and return to community

We have programs tailored for adults and for adolescents ages 13 to 18; the treatment and care of each group is provided in separate areas.

Dual Diagnosis Component
We recognize that many people suffer from underlying behavioral health conditions that lead them to abuse alcohol or drugs. Our Dual Diagnosis Program provides effective outpatient treatment or partial hospitalization to help you or a loved one deal with the double challenge of substance abuse and a behavioral health problem. Our professional, experienced staff provides:

  • Concurrent treatment for mental health and addictions disorders

  • Psychiatric assessment, evaluation and consultation

  • Group and family therapies

  • Medication monitoring and education

  • Substance abuse treatment and education

  • Discharge planning coordinated with community resources to enhance successful recovery and return to community
