Language Services

Interpreters

We will make every effort to provide communication assistance to people who are hearing impaired or do not speak English as their primary language. All LifeBridge Health hospitals provide free interpreter services to patients and families who are Limited English Proficient (LEP). If you need interpreters or communication assistance, please tell the nursing staff as soon as possible.

Pharmacy

Patients are not allowed to take their own medicines while in the hospital unless instructed otherwise. Personal medicines brought to the hospital will be reviewed and stored by the pharmacy, then taken home by a family member. Be sure to tell your nurse and provider about all prescription and non-prescription medicines you take. This includes herbal products and dietary supplements. If you have allergies to any medicines or foods, tell your provider and nurses.

The hospital offers in-room delivery of your prescriptions by Anchor Pharmacy & Medical Supplies. All new prescriptions can be filled by the pharmacy and sent directly to your room, if desired. The pharmacy also has other drugstore items, including durable medical equipment.

Meals and Nutrition

Unless your provider specifies otherwise, you will be offered a daily menu to select your meals. A host will visit your room to go over your menu and deliver your meals. If you have any questions or problems with your menu or diet, ask your nurse to contact a dietitian.
