How to Apply to our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program

Our program is committed to providing trainees an opportunity to achieve the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for the independent practice of obstetrics and gynecology. The department chair, program directors and teaching faculty provide a program geared to teaching the cognitive and technical skills necessary to be certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

We accept four residents into the program each year. We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for all of our training positions. Eligible applicants include graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), as well as graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). We will consider graduates from schools accredited by the ECFMG on an individual basis, as well as those who take USMLE Step 1 and earn a passing score on the first attempt (preferable to have completed USMLE 2CS and CK).

Your application must include the following before it is reviewed:

• Official transcript from your medical school
• Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
• Three letters of recommendation from faculty members
• A personal statement
• Results of USMLE examinations (Step 1, Step 2CS and Step 2CK)
• A recent photograph is desirable.
