At Grace Medical Center, we’re committed to empowering West Baltimore with free wellness programs, expert-led courses and support groups to promote better health. From managing chronic conditions and improving heart health to senior fitness and emergency preparedness, our programs provide the tools you need—at no cost. With both in-person and virtual options, plus loaner laptops for eligible participants, we make it easy to access the care and education you deserve. 

Our Free Health and Wellness Programs

Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP)

Learn how to better manage arthritis, COPD, depression and other chronic conditions with guidance on healthy eating, exercise, stress management and problem-solving. 

Diabetes Self-Management Program

A structured course that teaches meal planning, medication management and lifestyle changes to help those with diabetes take control of their health.

Living Smoke-Free Support Group

Get the tools and support you need to quit smoking and manage stress without nicotine.

Mindful Meditation Sessions

Reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and support heart health with guided meditation.

With Every Heartbeat is Life

A heart health education program developed for African Americans, focusing on heart disease prevention and lifestyle changes.

Bingocize® For Seniors

A fun, evidence-based fitness and wellness program for older adults, combining exercise, fall prevention and social engagement.

One-Day Health and Safety Classes

We also offer single-session workshops on a variety of health topics: 

 

  • Hands-Only CPR: Learn this lifesaving skill in one session. 
  • Stop the Bleed: Emergency response training to control bleeding. 
  • Understanding Chronic Conditions: Diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, arthritis, thyroid health, asthma and more. 
  • Preventive Health and Wellness: Breast health, eye health, healthy nutrition, men’s health, exercise for seniors reducing your risk of colorectal cancer. 

Get Involved—At No Cost!

Our free wellness programs, support groups and health classes are available in-person and online. Need a laptop for a virtual session? We offer loaner devices for up to 12 participants, ensuring everyone has access to the resources they need.
