Personalized Maternity Care in a Comfortable Setting
At Carroll Hospital, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and comfortable birthing experience. Our private birthing suites are designed to provide many of the comforts of home while you bring a new child into the world. Each spacious room features:
- A private bathroom
- A sofa bed to accommodate one support person overnight
- A television that also offers educational programming
- A large picture window for natural light
- Convenience of staying in the same room throughout your stay
Our Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) suites look and feel much like a hotel suite, with all of the necessary medical equipment tastefully concealed behind artwork and custom cabinetry. Within moments, your LDRP suite becomes a delivery room that promotes a safe delivery and monitors the health of both mother and baby.
For your convenience, all of your care is provided in this same suite. Even after your baby is born, a pediatrician will examine him or her right in your room to allow you to observe and ask questions.
Neonatal Couplet Care Suites
Carroll Hospital is the first hospital in the Mid-Atlantic and the second hospital in the nation to offer Neonatal Couplet Care Suites, a groundbreaking approach that allows moms to room with babies who are born prematurely or require specialized care, even after the mom is discharged.
