Grants Administration

The Department of Development Grants Administration team supports grant applications and awards that advance the missions of LifeBridge Health, Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital.

Our staff is actively involved in raising grant funds to support patient service programs and clinical research projects, as well as capital improvement projects.

We also have access to the Grant Mining Tool, PIVOT which is available to all LBH staff members. There are a couple of ways to access this tool, see below:

Researchers/users can access Pivot one of two ways:

  1. IP Access
    From any on-campus computer, a user can go right to Because your institution’s IP addresses will be recognized by Pivot, one can start searching for funding or faculty profiles right away.

  2. Username and Password
    Creating a Pivot account is easy - your users can go and click the “Sign up” option in the upper right of the screen. The researcher/user will gain access to Pivot by indicating he or she is affiliated with your institution and signing up with an institutional email address.

All users can log in at with a Pivot username and password anytime, anywhere. Logging in this way will take the user to his or her Pivot homepage. From their homepage, they can manage active or tracked funding opportunities, saved searches, shared opportunities, etc., and start searching for funding or scholars. Username and password access is necessary when a) a user is off-campus, or b) when a user needs to save a funding record or funding search.

Roles and Responsibilities of Grants Administration
The roles and responsibilities of the Grants Administration includes:

  • Oversee and coordinate all grant fundraising efforts. This includes applications submitted to any public, private, and corporate entities on behalf of LifeBridge Health, Carroll Hospital, Grace Medical Center, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Northwest Hospital, or Sinai Hospital.
  • Assist LBH staff in researching sources of funding for eligible programs and research projects.
  • Assist LBH staff with the management of grant awards, specifically regarding programmatic and financial reporting requirements, in collaboration with the Grants Financial Administrator in the Finance Department.
  • Assist LBH staff with the review and processing of all grant contracts and agreements (including all institutional assurances and certifications) in collaboration with the General Counsel’s office.
  • Receipt, processing, and documentation of all grant support given to LifeBridge Health. Grants Administration should be notified of any grant awards to any entity of LifeBridge Health.
  • Maintain complete grant funder records, including copies of applications, contracts, agreements, payments, and reports submitted to the funder.
