Sanjay P. Shah, MD, FCCP

Dr. Sanjay P. Shah has been in private practice in Maryland since 1998. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine and sleep medicine. 

Dr. Shah graduated from medical school in India in 1990. After his residency in internal medicine, he completed fellowships in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He treats many conditions including: sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, narcolepsy, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis, influenza, lung nodules, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, pulmonary hypertension, and respiratory failure.

Dr. Shah is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Maryland Sleep Society. He is married with two children.

Surjit Julka, MD, FCCP

Dr. Surjit Julka joined LifeBridge Health in 2015. He has been practicing in the Baltimore area since 1981.

Recognized among Baltimore magazine’s Top Doctors in 2016 and 2017, Dr. Julka is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology, critical care and sleep medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He completed his fellowship in pulmonary critical care at Columbia University/Harlem Hospital in New York City. 

Dr. Julka previously served as director of the ICU as well as director of the sleep lab at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus. He was also director of pulmonary and respiratory care at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore.

Chloe Gaines, NP is a board certified nurse practitioner specializing in critical care. Ms. Gaines earned her degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.

Alexis Schmier, CRNP
