About Caregiver: A Love Story

It’s been called the greatest public health crisis that no one is talking about.
Currently, one in five Americans between the ages of 55 and 64 is caring for an elder family member and 20 percent of those caregivers also have children at home. While the satisfaction of caring for a loved one is great, caregiving is exacting a toll on caregivers.

Caregiver: A Love Story is an award-winning short documentary which gives an intimate view into the experience of a couple, Rick and Bambi, as they navigate the last nine weeks of Bambi's life. When Bambi decides to forego further care for cancer, Rick quits his job to take care of her full time—without any training or experience in hospice care.
