About

Thomas Ring, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. With more than a decade of experience, he treats the full spectrum of hip and knee conditions, including partial, total, and revision joint replacement.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Ring earned a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, which allows him to bring an engineering perspective to every reconstruction. He tailors treatment plans to each patient’s unique anatomy, lifestyle, and goals, using advanced techniques such as robotic-assisted surgery and computer-aided navigation to optimize outcomes.

As a former Division I all-conference athlete and marathon runner, Dr. Ring understands the importance of restoring mobility and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. He is committed to helping each patient achieve the highest possible level of function.

Dr. Ring is an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery through 2035.

Outside of work, Dr. Ring and his wife enjoy spending time with their five children, who love camping, Harry Potter, and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles.
