Advanced Orthopedic Therapy at Sinai Rehab Center offers physical and occupational therapy on both an inpatient and outpatient basis for pediatric and adult patients at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

 

Our team of therapists and specialists are educated in the latest advancements in orthopedic therapy, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible. Not only are they experts, but they specialize in many rehabilitation modalities to treat patients effectively. Our team delivers this care in an environment that is focused on the patient.

A physical therapy space

Our patients are treated by two types of therapists:

  • Physical therapists evaluate transfers and gait, and instruct in the use of adaptive equipment such as crutches or walkers. The physical therapist will educate the patient and family on post-operative precautions, perform therapeutic exercise programs, and teach family how to assist the patient in their home environment.
  • Occupational therapists address activities of daily living, such as: dressing, bathing, toileting, car transfers, and adaptive equipment/clothing, as well as perform therapeutic exercise programs. Occupational therapists will also provide custom fabricated static and dynamic splints as needed for certain orthopedic surgeries.

We treat a variety of orthopedic conditions, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, limb lengthening, limb deformity correction, and traumatic fractures.
