Leslie Simmons, RN, FACHE Named 2023 Daily Record Icon Awards Recipient
Baltimore –LifeBridge Health Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Leslie Simmons, RN, FACHE, was recently named as a 2023 recipient of the Daily Record Icon Awards.
The Daily Record’s Icon Awards recognize Maryland business leaders for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership within and outside their fields. The honorees have moved their businesses and the state of Maryland forward by growing jobs and making a difference in the community.
Simmons was recognized for helping make Maryland a better, safer, healthier place to live and work over her 30-year career and through her leadership at LifeBridge Health. She has been instrumental in driving LifeBridge Health’s outstanding achievements in quality with a focus on accountability and transparency.
In her role as COO, Simmons makes sure the hospital presidents and their teams at the LifeBridge Health hospitals she oversees have the support, guidance and resources they need to be successful. Leslie was president of Carroll Hospital Center when it joined LifeBridge Health. In addition to her oversight of Carroll Hospital, Simmons oversees operations at all LifeBridge Health’s hospital facilities, including Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Grace Medical Center. Her role also includes systemwide responsibility for pharmacy, laboratory/pathology, patient experience, quality and infection prevention.
To be eligible for Icon Honors, honorees must be over 60 years of age and have a long-standing commitment to the Maryland business community. Honorees must also have a sustained commitment to community service and mentoring.The winners were selected by the editors of The Daily Record and will be honored at an event at the Center Club on December 11, 2023.
Neil Meltzer, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health, was named one of the inaugural recipients of the Daily Record’s Icon Awards in 2017.
