Guided Meditation - Virtual
Noon - 1 p.m.

Mindfulness means seeing clearly – seeing through the confusion of our everyday involuntary mental busyness from the peace and clarity of our innate inheritance of steady open awareness. Mindfulness Meditation Practice helps us create the conditions within ourselves from which that innate clarity, peace, and contentment can emerge. We’re cultivating the ability to remain steady and clear with all experiences so that we can respond discerningly and skillfully to whatever is showing up in our life experience from that place of innate resourcefulness.

Seating cues and postural guidance, as well as breath awareness and attention-focusing cues are gently and humbly offered during this session. Please join the virtual program early to enable enough time for you to arrive fully, make yourself comfortable, settle in, and begin to create the conditions of stillness and silence within your own being in service to your return to an experience of profound calmness, clarity and peace.

Free Auricular Acupuncture Trial
6 - 6:30 p.m.
Sessions at the Tevis Center for Wellness
*Call 410-871-7000 to register.

One of the oldest methods of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, is based on the belief that life energy flows throughout the body and affects physical, mental and emotional health. During an acupuncture treatment, energetic pathways within the body are stimulated using the insertion of thin, sterile needles at specific points on the body. Acupuncture is used for various therapeutic reasons, from relieving pain to curbing addictions. Acupuncture can help us move through life with more ease, less pain and stress, and greater awareness of ourselves and our well-being.

This 30-minute free trial session in a small group setting gives someone new to acupuncture the opportunity to listen to an overview of acupuncture by the licensed acupuncturist from the Tevis Center for Wellness at Carroll Hospital and try an auricular (ear) acupuncture treatment. Auricular acupuncture is a gentle yet powerful approach that treats the whole body by focusing on the acupuncture points of the outer ear.
