Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding offers many benefits to you and your baby. Breast milk contains the right balance of nutrients to help your infant grow into a strong and healthy toddler. Studies have shown breastfed babies have a lower risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS); enjoy more protection from infection and illness; and face less of a chance of being obese. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that breastfeeding continue for at least 12 months after birth.
