Robert M. Peroutka, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with more than
32 years of experience. A Baltimore native, he obtained his undergraduate degree from Duke University
and earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
He returned to the Duke University Medical Center for his orthopedic surgery residency training and then
completed his fellowship training as the Maurice E. Muller Foundation North American Fellow in Adult
Reconstructive Surgery. His fellowship training was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham
and Women's Hospital, New England Baptist Hospital, Johns Hopkins Health System and the Anderson
Orthopaedic Clinic.
He is a member of several orthopedic societies and has served as president of the Southern Orthopaedic
Association and the Clinical Orthopedic Society. As a lifelong Orioles fan, Dr. Peroutka enjoyed his
role as an Orioles team doctor for a span of 28 years.
