LifeBridge Health Designated as a Great Place to Work-Certifiedâ„¢ Company in 2019

Baltimore, MD - The prestigious Great Place to Workâ„¢ certification has been awarded to LifeBridge Health, one of the largest providers of health services in Maryland. LifeBridge Health consists of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, LifeBridge Health & Fitness, hundreds of primary care and specialty physicians, and affiliated health-related partners. Great Place to Work

LifeBridge Health is the only hospital system in the Baltimore region and one of only three healthcare organizations in Maryland to earn this designation in 2019.

This achievement is unique because Great Place to Work compiles and evaluates validated, data-driven employee feedback to measure satisfaction in the workplace. Only organizations that have integrated trust with high-performing cultures are recognized.

"Our team members are truly the heart of LifeBridge Health, so the Great Place to Work certification is particularly significant because it reflects the thoughts and feelings of our employees themselves," says LifeBridge Health President and CEO Neil Meltzer.

He adds, "Every day, I hear about the great work that our employees are doing, taking care of patients and making a difference in our communities. This national recognition only reaffirms that LifeBridge Health team members themselves know how their work has meaning and appreciate working for an organization with a mission focused on healing and helping others."

To qualify for certification, companies must reach several target goals on the exclusive Trust Index© Employee Survey. That survey asks employees how they view the organization in categories including credibility, respect, fairness, community involvement, camaraderie and having pride in what they do. LifeBridge Health exceeded those goals.

In addition, workers had to confirm they have consistently positive experiences on the job, an indicator that LifeBridge Health also surpassed. Finally, a cultural brief was submitted as an overview of the organization including patient experience and employee data, hiring practices, leadership philosophies and strategies, and finances.

Among the highest scoring questions from LifeBridge Health employees:
"I feel good about the ways we contribute to the community."
"My work has special meaning: this is "not just a job.'"
"When you join the organization, you are made to feel welcome."

"We congratulate LifeBridge Health on its certification," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of Best Workplace List Research at Great Place to Work. "Organizations that earn their employees' trust create great workplace environments that deliver outstanding results."

Great Place to Work's research represents more than 12 million employees annually from thousands of organizations in more than 90 countries. Since 1998, the company has also been behind the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list.
