Three New Medical Specialties Now Available to the West Baltimore Community.
Baltimore "“ Following through on its commitment to bring more medical services to the people of West Baltimore, LifeBridge Health has added three new specialties to its offerings at Grace Medical Center: pediatrics, orthopedics and ophthalmology.
Specialists from LifeBridge Health's Krieger Eye Institute recently began seeing patients at the newly renovated third floor primary and specialty clinic area. They join pediatrician Scott Krugman, M.D., and orthopedic surgeon Ronald Delanois, M.D., as the newest medical providers at the West Baltimore facility.
Prior to LifeBridge Health's 2019 acquisition of Grace Medical Center (formerly known as Bon Secours Baltimore Hospital), LifeBridge Health team members attended local forums and neighborhood association meetings to get to know community members and get their input on their healthcare needs and interests. They also had one-on-one conversations with local pastors and other community leaders.
"As we got to know the people of West Baltimore, some of them shared with us that they sometimes had to take two and three buses to see these types of specialists. Over-and-over again, they mentioned pediatric, orthopedic and vision care as what they'd like to see offered in a more convenient location, so we are so thrilled that these specialists are now seeing patients at Grace Medical Center," says Rebecca Altman, vice president and chief integration officer at LifeBridge Health.
