A Legacy of Service to Baltimore

Northwest Hospital is a nonprofit with 367 rooms – all private – which has been dedicated to the needs of the greater northwest Baltimore community for over 50 years, caring for the citizens of Baltimore County, western Baltimore City, Carroll County, Howard County and beyond.

Beyond its heritage of health care, Northwest Hospital is distinguished by its adherence to the Friesen Concept, which places nursing alcoves outside each patient room, allowing nurses to spend more time with and be readily available for patients. This approach facilitates patient care through smaller 20-bed units with private patient rooms, elimination of nursing stations and the easily accessible placement of supplies, medications and charts.
