    Pain Management

Our outpatient pain management program takes a holistic approach to treating people with afflictions that include arthritis; back and/or neck pain; work-related injuries; or pain caused by compressed nerves, damaged nerves or trauma. Led by physicians who specialize in pain management, our treatment teams develop care plans that allow patients to get on with their daily lives.

    Chronic Pain Program

The Chronic Pain Program treats patients who are experiencing long-term pain that lasts beyond the average recovery period for an illness or injury. In an outpatient setting, specially-trained teams of physiatrists, physical therapists and pain psychologists will develop a highly-customized evaluation and treatment plan for each patient.

    Brain Injury Programs

The Brain Injury Programs at Sinai Hospital help patients who have experienced brain injuries or impairments after a stroke by offering a wide continuum of inpatient and outpatient care. These programs include:

    • RESTORE!: The inpatient program at the Louis & Phyllis Friedman Neurological Center offers daily intensive therapy that maximizes functional independence after a brain injury.
    • RETURN!: The outpatient day program combines multidisciplinary treatment with a supportive group setting to help adults with brain injuries regain the physical, cognitive and emotional skills needed to re-enter their communities.
    • RETURN! to Work: Through a partnership with the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services, this outpatient program provides long-term employment coaching and services to patients recovering from a brain injury.
    • Comprehensive Sports Concussion Program: A collaborative effort between The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Brain & Spine Institute and the Sinai Rehabilitation Center, this program treats patients with concussions, from their initial diagnosis through their successful return to the playing field. The program is for student and professional athletes at all levels.
Our goal is to maximize every patient's functioning and help them return to their families and communities.
