Recovery, Rehab and Prevention

Recovery, Rehab and Prevention at Sinai Hospital's Trauma Center

Because each patient’s experience is so unique, the road to recovery can be highly variable for trauma patients. The time and care needed to recover depends entirely on the nature and severity of the patient’s injury.

We encourage family members to be patient, and trust that we share your goal: the best outcome for your loved one.

The Sinai Rehabilitation Center offers a number of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, including acute care services; brain injury and concussion programs; physical, occupational and speech therapy; neuropsychology services; driving evaluations; pain management; and much more.

Injury Prevention

Sinai Hospital is committed to keeping its community healthy. We offer a number of programs to prevent traumatic injuries from happening in the first place.

Falls Prevention
We participate in falls prevention programs at both the local and state levels. Our recurring falls prevention program, Stepping ON!, is held every spring and fall. The next four-class session will begin Monday, March 7 at the Edward A. Myerberg Center in Baltimore. For more information, call 410-601-7889.

Violence Prevention
We also partner with the Kujichagulia Youth Center in Baltimore to offer violence prevention and intervention programs for local young people. The program provides youth development, education, case management and vocational services to 16 to 25 years old who are admitted to the Trauma Center with injuries from street violence.
