Preparing For Your Appointment
Preparing For Your Appointment
Mammogram or Breast Ultrasound
Bring your insurance card, photo ID and physician order with you to the appointment.
Do not wear deodorant, body powder or perfume on breast or underarm area.
Wear a two-piece outfit.
If you have prior mammogram or ultrasound films from another breast imaging facility, bring the films with you to the appointment.
Stereotactic or Ultrasound-Guided Biopsy
Bring you insurance card, photo ID and physician order with you to the appointment.
Do not wear deodorant, body powder or perfume on breast or underarm area.
Wear a two-piece outfit.
Mammogram and ultrasound films will be needed at the Breast Care Center 48 hours before the biopsy appointment.
You will be contacted by the Center's nurse regarding your procedure.
Your appointment will take about 90 minutes.
Ductogram Procedure
Bring you insurance card, photo ID and physician order with you to the appointment.
Do not wear deodorant, body powder or perfume on breast or underarm area.
Wear a two-piece outfit.
Mammogram and ultrasound films will be needed at the Breast Care Center 48 hours before the ductogram appointment.
Bone Density Exam
Bring your insurance card, photo ID and physician order with you to the appointment.
Do not wear clothing that has metal studs or glitter on it.
Do not take calcium supplements or over-the-counter drugs such as Malox, Tums, Rolaids, etc., for 24 hours prior to the appointment.
Do not schedule any barium/contrast exams within the same week prior to the Bone Density Exam appointment.
