This will be the 11th year of the race, which is presented by the Sinai Hospital Auxiliary.

There is something for everyone – from elite runners to beginners. The routes for both the 5K, which is 3.1 miles, and the 10K, which is 6.2 miles, will wind through the scenic, tranquil community of Mount Washington.

The1 Mile Family Fun Walk will travel through the Levindale and Sinai Hospital campuses and is ideal for families with young children. As part of this walk, the auxiliary will host an experience with lots of surprises!

All participants receive a long-sleeve running shirt, a goody bag, and bib number with timing chip (for 5K and 10K participants). Everyone is invited to the post-race party at the finish line sponsored by The Classic Catering People. There will also be an awards ceremony after the race, and top finishers of the 10K, who meet the specified qualifications, will be eligible to divide $4,100 in cash prizes.

Runners and walkers are encouraged to create their own teams, made up of participants and those who just want to donate to a worthy cause. Over the past 10 years, the race has raised more than $930,000.

The Samuelson Children's Hospital admits more than 2,400 children and young adults every year. It offers a full range of pediatric specialty services for patients from birth to 18 years of age and older.
