Mark Goldstein, M.D., elected as president of Carroll Hospital’s medical staff and becomes a member of the hospital’s Board of Directors

Mark Goldstein, M.D., has been elected by his peers to serve as president of Carroll Hospital’s medical staff. As medical staff president, he also will serve as an ex-officio member of the hospital’s Board of Directors.

Affiliated with Carroll Hospital for eight years, Dr. Goldstein is an emergency medicine physician at the hospital. He previously served as vice president of the medical staff from 2018 to 2020.

Board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Goldstein earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.

“As president one of my goals is to make sure the hospital benefits from the clinicians' perspectives in leading us forward through challenging times,” said Dr. Goldstein. “As we navigate through the next phases of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will need to ensure that we ingrain the changes in our operations that have helped keep our providers and patients safe.”

In addition to the office of president, the following providers were elected to serve in leadership positions: David Taylor, M.D., vice president; William McNally, C.R.N.A., secretary/treasurer; Sandra Ruby, M.D., member-at-large; Jay Mittal, M.D., member-at-large; and Kevin Walsh, P.A.-C., advanced practice provider member-at-large.
