Levindale Auxiliary Installs New Board Members

Baltimore, MD - The recent installation of new Levindale Auxiliary Board members was a real family affair with spouses, children and grandchildren as well as the extended Levindale family of employees there to mark the occasion. Lots of friends were also on hand for the celebration.

Rochelle Bohrer was installed as the new president of the Levindale Auxiliary and nine new board members were inducted.

Levindale’s President and COO Deborah Graves thanked outgoing President Marcia Bornfriend for her strong leadership and the Auxiliary members for everything they have done over many years and continue to do to bring help and happiness to Levindale’s residents and patients.

She also looked ahead to the coming years and thanked them profusely for their incredible generosity for the installation of new AV equipment in the town center. She shared with them what a magnificent hit it is with residents and staff!

The Levindale Auxiliary sponsors a wide variety of programs and services, and its members spend countless hours to bring their personal touch of compassion to the events that they organize. In fact, the Levindale Auxiliary has been enhancing the lives of residents and patients for more than 150 years by focusing on their emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.

After the installation was over, everyone moved from the town center to the lobby to reveal two new panels on the Auxiliary’s donor wall that honor and memorialize significant people in the lives of those generous donors.

Among the newest plaques:

Past presidents of the Levindale Auxiliary remembered Rina Janet
Maxine Cohen, Myron Oppenheimer and their friends remembered Naomi and Jerome Cohen
Family and friends remembered Gertrude Fine
Leslie and Greg Simmons honored the dedicated staff at Levindale

Of course, no Levindale Auxiliary celebration would be complete without refreshments, kibbitzing and good conversation of which there was plenty before the evening ended.

Special thanks to board member, Esky Cook, who took photos at the installation.
