Karen Digman, R.N., receives Carroll Hospital’s April DAISY Award

Registered nurse Karen Digman, emergency department (ED), was presented with Carroll Hospital’s May DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital since 2018, Digman was recognized for her skilled and compassionate care of a patient and her family members in the ED.

“Kim is warm and compassionate towards all her patients. But what was extremely evident in this case was her exceptional ability to comfort and connect with this particular patient’s family members, which allowed them to feel confident in their loved one’s care during a worrisome time,” said Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital.

Carroll Hospital’s DAISY Award honors outstanding healthcare professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.

Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and da continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
