Carroll Hospital Annual Review 2021
Ever since Carroll Hospital’s story began, we have always been able to count on our donors,
volunteers, staff and patients to help us stay true to our mission—to deliver high quality,
compassionate care to our community.
Through acts of giving, we’re able to tell our own accounts of how Carroll Hospital or
BridgingLife made an impact on our lives, inspiring us to pay it forward. Whether you’re a
patient who was moved by a doctor’s care, a longtime donor whose child was born at
Carroll Hospital or a son of a hospice patient who experienced unwavering support from a
member of our BridgingLife team, these are our stories—and they’re stories worth sharing.

A Beginner’s Guide to Charitable Gift Annuities
When you fund a charitable gift annuity, the Carroll Hospital Foundation agrees to send you a check each year for as long as you
live, based on your funding amount and your age at the time of funding. You get cash back at high, fixed annual rates that never
change. In addition, you may also receive:
- An income tax deduction this year for part of the funding amount.
- If you fund it by transferring stock, some of your capital gains are eliminated, some spread over a number of years
- After a lifetime of payments to you, any remaining funds automatically support our mission in your name.
