A legacy of care and caring.

Dr. Schultz spent the first years of his professional career at Sinai and Northwest hospitals and over the past decade, created a nationally recognized breast care center and a reputation for exemplary clinical and patient care. Today, Dr. Schultz practices at the Breast Center at Quarry Lake, a state-of-the-art diagnostic center performing ultrasound and stereotactic 3D tomosynthesis biopsies daily. Key benefits include:

  • 24-hour turnaround from mammogram to pathology report
  • Personally guides patients through the treatment process
  • Seamless care and immediate multidisciplinary breast cancer care for women

Dr. Schultz’s passion for his patients and his unparalleled drive are legendary. His surgical skills are well-known and acknowledged nationally. He has one of the largest series of minimally invasive breast lumpectomy with a 5-day radiation process called brachytherapy which he calls “15 days to cure.” He was also a principal investigator in the national study of the “total nipple-sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction” procedure.

With an equal passion for his patients, he has also developed a signature wellness and support center, enrolling patients at the time of diagnosis, providing a holistic, total care environment as patients go through treatment and beyond.

His care for his patients is perhaps best represented by a Michael Aram sculpture of a giant cocoon that hangs in Dr. Schultz’s office. Accompanied by a note from a grateful patient who commissioned the work it reads: “Dr. Schultz ‘...cocoons us in your kindness, your caring, your concern…your Michael Schultz wisdom…and all that can only be felt from the heart.’”

"To have Dr. Schultz as part of the LifeBridge Health family is great news for our patients and our entire organization. Dr. Schultz is genuinely beloved by his patients and, in more than four decades in practice, has earned a stellar reputation for his medical expertise, surgical skills and compassion,” says Neil Meltzer, LifeBridge Health President & CEO.
