With offices located in Westminster and Pikesville, Maryland, LifeBridge Community Pulmonology, LLC provides consultation and diagnostic and preventive care for many pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders. Sanjay P. Shah, MD, FCCP
Dr. Sanjay P. Shah has been in private practice in Maryland since 1998. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.
Dr. Shah graduated from medical school in India in 1990. After his residency in internal medicine, he completed fellowships in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He treats many conditions including: sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, narcolepsy, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis, influenza, lung nodules, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, pulmonary hypertension, and respiratory failure.
Dr. Shah is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Maryland Sleep Society. He is married with two children.

Surjit Julka, MD, FCCP
Dr. Surjit Julka joined LifeBridge Health in 2015. He has been practicing in the Baltimore area since 1981.
Recognized among Baltimore magazine’s Top Doctors in 2016 and 2017, Dr. Julka is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology, critical care and sleep medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He completed his fellowship in pulmonary critical care at Columbia University/Harlem Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Julka previously served as director of the ICU as well as director of the sleep lab at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus. He was also director of pulmonary and respiratory care at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore. |
Howard Jacobs, MD
A Baltimore native, Dr. Howard Jacobs is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology and critical care medicine. He graduated from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1981 and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Maryland Hospital.
Dr. Jacobs is married with two children and four grandchildren.

Michael Lansing, MD, FACP, FCCP
Dr. Michael Lansing is the medical director of Northwest Hospital’s outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program and several inpatient rehab programs. A board-certified pulmonologist, he practices all phases of pulmonary medicine, with special interests in COPD, pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma, interstitial lung diseases and bronchiectasis.
Dr. Lansing graduated magna cum laude (honor studies program) with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from Texas Tech University. He was a PhD candidate in biological anthropology at Southern Methodist University. He completed his residency in internal medicine, serving as chief resident, at New York Medical College-Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. He then completed his fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and affiliated hospitals.
Dr. Lansing has authored and co-authored several research articles appearing in major peer-reviewed pulmonary journals. He received the Rose and Solomon Klausner Award for Basic Research Paper while at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He also received the American Lung Association Training Fellowship Award for the 1990-91 year.

Naveed Shah, MD
Dr. Naveed Shah is board-certified in pulmonary and sleep medicine. He attended Spartan Health
Sciences and completed his internal medicine training and pulmonary fellowship at New York Medical College Catholic Health Centers. He did his critical care training at Albert Einstein School of Medicine and his sleep training at Seton Hall University at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute.
