Sports Medicine Primary Care

Rapid Evaluation

The LifeBridge Health Sports Medicine Institute primary care sports medicine is led by Dr. Erica Gaertner. Having a primary care sports specialist enables our practice to get athletes into the office for an evaluation within 24 – 48 hours of injury. Dr. Gaertner sees athletes and non-athletes with acute or chronic injuries, and treats conservatively when possible. If conservative treatment is not appropriate, she will refer to a surgical specialist. In addition to evaluating injuries, Dr. Gaertner is able to evaluate and manage concussions, as well as perform pre participation sports exams. We also have the ability to perform ultrasound guided injections in our office. Dr. Gaertner’s goal is get people back to activity as quickly and safely as possible.
