The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics
The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO), located on the Sinai Hospital campus, is home to some of the world's most renowned orthopedic surgeons and offers state-of-the-art treatment in a variety of orthopedic services.

The Rubin Institute includes three centers specializing in various orthopedic treatments: The International Center for Limb Lengthening, Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement, and the Advanced Trauma Center.
The International Center for Limb Lengthening focuses on the care of pediatric and adult patients with congenital, developmental, and post-traumatic limb deformities, limb length discrepancies, skeletal abnormalities and other causes of short stature. The Center also cares for patients with Perthes disease, bone defects, nonunions, bone infections, and clubfoot.
The Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement uses groundbreaking hip and knee replacement techniques and treats bone and joint infections. The Center also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of joint pain in adults due to joint degeneration, avascular necrosis, and hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle injuries.
The Advanced Trauma Center specializes in post-traumatic, postpartum and degenerative conditions of the sacroiliac and symphyseal joints of the pelvis. Acute fractures, post-traumatic complications and deformities of the lower extremity are also treated.
Located in the Ansel and Ellen Schoeneman Rehabilitation Building, the RIAO houses five operating rooms, 18 private inpatient rooms, two VIP suites, an outpatient clinic, a gait lab, and a therapy pool.
