Physicians who are certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery have graduated from an accredited medical school and have completed at least five years of graduate medical education—usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery.  Additionally, the surgeon must practice plastic surgery for two years and pass comprehensive written and oral examinations to become board-certified.

The Cosmetic Surgery Center at Northwest Hospital is dedicated to the highest standards of patient care and surgical excellence.  Our patient care is personalized and confidential and is provided in a safe and friendly environment. The hospital maintains an exceptional quality of care and is staffed by a well-trained and experienced health care team, including RNs and CRNAs (certified registered nurse anesthetists) that works closely with your cosmetic surgeon.

Recovery care is available for those not feeling well enough to return home after surgery or those who may not have a caregiver at home to assist them. Based on the procedure and the surgeon's recommendation, a patient can be admitted--for a period of up to 23 hours--for an outpatient cosmetic procedure. All of our patient rooms and baths are private, allowing recovery to begin in a calm, quiet and confidential atmosphere.

Some of the more common procedures performed by the team of skilled cosmetic surgeons include, but are not limited to:

  • Breast augmentation
  • Breast reduction
  • Breast reconstruction
  • Breast lift
  • Liposuction
  • Lesion excisions
  • Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)
  • Body lift
  • Face/Neck lift
  • Brow lift
  • Blepharoplasty (eyelid lift)
  • Scar revision
  • Chemical peel
  • Rhinoplasty (nasal surgery)
  • Fat grafting

The Cosmetic Surgery Center at Northwest Hospital's professionally trained medical team provides superior patient care. The procedures performed require the clinical and surgical expertise of a plastic surgeon plus the professional attitude, experience and compassion of an expert health care staff.

Our highly skilled team is with you throughout the process, from pre-surgical consultations, to post-op recovery to help return you to everyday life as quickly as possible. The patient care liaison works to ensure that every question and concern you may have about the procedure are addressed, providing attention to detail and quality care every step of the way.

The Cosmetic Surgery Center at Northwest Hospital patient care areas provide safe, quality care that is state-of-the-art. Treatment areas consist of a 12-bay pre-op admission area, eight general operating rooms, one general OR treatment room, three specialty treatment rooms, an 11-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and a 10-bed Ambulatory PACU discharge area. Registration and a family waiting area are adjacent to the patient care areas where your caregivers are given updates on your condition on a regular basis.
