According to the National Institutes of Health, more
than one-third of U.S. women have a pelvic floor
disorder, and almost 377,000 women underwent surgery for
a pelvic floor disorder in 2010. This is a common
problem that women try to hide, but it is something that
needs to be treated effectively and immediately.
The Institute for Female Pelvic Health specializes in
comprehensive evaluation and treatment for women with
complex pelvic floor disorders
Our team of pelvic health specialists work with
the Sinai Rehabiltation Center to administer the Pelvic Floor
Dysfunction and Incontinence Program, which treats
urinary incontinence and pelvic pain, and works with
primary care physicians to develop individualized
treatment plans.
