What Should I Bring? - Information for Teens
Staying overnight may seem scary, but there will be many people there to help you feel safe and secure, such as nurses, doctors and other medical team members. You just need to bring yourself and your favorite things, and they will help you with everything else!
To get ready for your hospital stay you can bring:
- Pajamas
- Bathrobe
- Toothbrush
- Clothes
- Comb/brush
- Pictures of your family
- Books
- Movies
- Handheld video games
- Laptop
- School work
Please put your name on all of your personal items.
Once you have all of your personal items, don’t forget to remind your parents to bring:
- Doctors names, addresses, phone numbers
- Medical history and a list of all medications including names, dose and last time taken
- Insurance information
- Guardianship or custody papers
- Home medications
- Parents medications
- Snacks with your name written on them (will be kept in the fridge)
