Parking & Directions
Parents and visitors may park on the main visitor lot located in front of the hospital. There is also a parking garage available on Belvedere Avenue if the parking lot is full. The PICU staff is unable to validate parking.

The parking lot accepts CASH and CREDIT CARDS. There are two ATM’s available in the hospital. One ATM is located on the first floor, near the GreenSpring Café. The other ATM is located on the ground floor near the security office.
In order to help reduce the cost of parking, you can purchase a coupon book for $15.00. This coupon book will provide you with 5 exits from the parking lot, working out to $3.00 per exit. This coupon book can be purchased at the cashier booth in the parking lot or at the discharge window in the main hospital (next to the main entrance). Please keep in mind that if you are buying from cashier’s booth, they can only sell one book of coupons at a time.
Valet parking is available during the day. The fee for valet parking is $5.00. This service is not available in the evening.
Security escorts to your car are available. Please call 2-5036 to request a security escort.

Cafeteria Menu and Other Food Services
During your child’s stay, room service will be provided for your child. Your nurse will provide you with an appropriate menu depending on your child’s dietary restrictions. Room service is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. Your child’s nurse, administrative associate or food services hostess can help you with ordering meals. Parents may order a guest tray for a fee that will be charged separately from the hospital bill.
The number to use when ordering room service is 2-FOOD (2-3663).
The Greenspring Café is located on the first floor of the hospital and is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Market Place offers packaged sandwiches, salads, soups, snacks and beverages and is located in the main lobby.
The hours are:
Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. to midnight
Saturday: 5 p.m. to midnight
Sunday: 9 a.m. to midnight
Café Shalom offers a variety of kosher foods and is located near the Greenspring Café entrance.
The hours are:
Monday – Thursday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Café Shalom is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Boxed Kosher meals are available in the Greenspring Café.
You may bring food from home. There is a refrigerator and a microwave located in the pantry on the unit. Ask your nurse for assistance with food from home.
Telephone, Television, Internet Services
Telephones are located at every patient bedside. Local calls may be placed by dialing a “9” prior to dialing the phone number. Cell phone use is also permitted. Important phone numbers include:

- Main Hospital: 410-601-9000
- Please ask your nurse or administrative associate for the extension to your child’s assigned room.
There is a television available at every bedside for no additional charge. Each TV is equipped with a DVD player. DVDs can be obtained from the playroom or brought from home as long as they are appropriate for the pediatric population.
The hospital provides free wireless Internet service. You may bring a computer from home or borrow one from the playroom. The playroom has a very limited number of laptops.
SPIN TV: Part of the treatment requires that you learn more about your child’s medical condition and treatment. Sinai hospital offers educational videos to you at no cost through SPIN TV. Feel free to watch the video as often as you would like and encourage your family members to watch the videos with you. Please tune into channel 18 for a complete listing of videos available. See your nurse for assistance in ordering the videos.
Live Aquarium Feed from the National Aquarium: The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai has partnered with the National Aquarium to create a live aquarium feed throughout the children's hospital. Patients, residents and families can watch the live feed on the big screen televisions, as well as on screens in each inpatient room. This feed can be found on Channel 4, and it is a live daily broadcast from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Services
The chaplains at Sinai Hospital provide religious and spiritual support to all patients, their families and hospital staff in strict accordance with guidelines of the specific faith traditions and accrediting institutions. The Pastoral Care staff at Sinai includes three rabbis, an Orthodox-Catholic priest and two Protestant ministers.
All Pastoral Care staff are professionally and clinically trained. They provide comfort and care at Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home.
Chaplains offer regular and ongoing care during normal business hours. Services provided include pastoral counseling, Shabbos needs, prayer and blessing, religious texts, confession, dying and death rituals, anointing, communion, after-hours support for emergencies and other support as needed.
