Background: Dr. Khanuja is fellowship trained in adult hip and knee reconstructive surgery. He received this additional training at the Department of Orthopaedics at Johns Hopkins University in 2000. He then practiced at Johns Hopkins Orthopaedics at Good Samaritan Hospital for eight years. He served as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship Director.
In 2006, Dr. Khanuja was awarded the prestigious Insall Traveling Fellowship Award by the Knee Society. During this traveling fellowship, he observed and lectured at the premier joint replacement centers in North America.
In 2009, Dr. Khanuja and his team moved their practice to the Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement, located at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
Dr. Khanuja earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and then attended Albany Medical College for medical school in his hometown of Albany, New York. He completed his residency training in orthopedics at Albany Medical Center.
