Varus Deformity (Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease)

A man with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease experienced pain in both ankles because of severe varus deformities. Our center treated his severe ankle and hindfoot deformities by using internal fixation to fuse his ankle and hindfoot so that they were straight. He was extremely pleased with the result because he no longer had to wear metal braces and orthopedic shoes. After treatment, he was able to wear normal shoes.
