General Debility and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

The Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIR) provides outstanding rehabilitation services for post-surgical and general debility patients. After an acute illness or surgical procedure, patients may find themselves with decreased endurance, energy and strength.

On the CIR, patients will participate in activities to improve their endurance level, muscle strength, and energy in order to perform everyday activities and tasks.  Our overall goal is to return patients to home at a  more independent level of function.

The CIR team offers individualized education on energy conservation, home exercise programs, and resources in the community to continue overall endurance and strength training.
