This tree design embodies Geriatric Surgery. The oak tree, like the model from Dr. Katlic’s yard, represents strength, elegance and endurance throughout long life. The tree logo was designed by Dr. Katlic’s neighbor, designer Tracey Selingo, who incorporated a stylized thorax in its branches. The colorful and whimsical heart carved into the trunk was her idea.
