Sinai Department of Surgery

Dr. Mark Katlic The surgical department at Sinai Hospital has a reputation for excellent clinical care, bedside and laboratory research, surgical education, academic collaboration, advanced technology, minimally invasive techniques, evidence-based care, colorful personalities and compassion.

Comprising more than 130 full-time and voluntary surgeons and over 30 mid-level providers in 16 divisions, the Department of Surgery is experiencing explosive growth. Our surgeons lead the Level II Trauma Center and fully accredited, independent Surgery Residency Program. The future of our department will embody the growth of new programs (including the world’s only Center for Geriatric Surgery), nationally recognized clinical and investigative work, and an unrelenting drive for excellence.
