Sally M. Pinkstaff, MD, PhD, FACP, FACE

Dr. Pinkstaff earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and was an intern and resident at the University of Chicago hospitals, where she also completed her endocrinology fellowship. Dr. Pinkstaff also received a Ph.D. in physiology from Northwestern University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She practiced endocrinology for 15 years in the metropolitan Chicago area, where she served as director of the endocrinology section and director of the Diabetes Center at West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, Ill. At West Suburban Hospital, she helped establish a certified diabetes center and an outpatient intensive insulin program for patients with Type 1 diabetes. Her work has been published in The Endocrinologist, the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She is also a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association.
