What outpatient activities do I have to attend?

All residents are required by the RRC to attend the equivalent of at least a 1/2 day of outpatient activities per week on each rotation. These activities should be structured such that resident learning and continuity of care are maximized. Attendance at these activities is mandatory and will be monitored.

At Sinai, all Red Surgery residents will attend Tuesday Faculty Office Hours, in the Hoffberger Building, 4th floor, Suite 46, from 10:00 AM until at least 2:00 PM. Attendings available for this activity include: Dr. Genuit, Dr. Didolkar, Dr. Fishel, and Dr. Chu.

Red Surgery senior residents are encouraged to make every effort to attend the Monday Multi-Disciplinary GI Cancer Clinic with Dr. Chu and the Friday Tumor Lunch with Dr. Didolkar. Drs. Chu and Didolkar will provide you with the specific dates, times and topics.

Blue Surgery junior residents will attend office hours with Dr. Gertner on Monday afternoons, at McDonough Crossroads, 23 Crossroads Drive, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, beginning in November 2006.

Blue Surgery senior residents will attend the Multi-Disciplinary Thoracic Clinic with Drs. Skaryak, Reeder and Ehrlich, on Wednesday afternoons, in Sinai's Alvin & Lois Lapidus Cancer Institute.

Friday Surgery Service Clinic should be attended by at least two individuals (resident, PA/NP) from the Red Surgery service.  This clinic begins every Friday promptly at 11:15 AM.

Residents on (sub-)specialty rotations will attend the outpatient activities scheduled for that rotation.
