Information on Cynthia Long, M.D.

Cynthia L. Long, M.D is a board certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive general and bariatric surgery. Dr. Long received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed a general surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center and Cook County Hospital Integrated program and subsequently completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Long is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgery (SAGES).

Dr. Long specializes in Laparoscopic Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass surgery, Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding, and Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomies.
