Residents - Sinai Hospital Pharmacy Residency

Dr. Ricky Amoateng has been exposed to the field of healthcare since a very young age. With his mother being a nurse and sister a pharmacist, it is no surprise he decided to join the field of pharmacy. Born in the District of Columbia and a native of Maryland, Ricky completed his pre-pharmacy experience at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland. After 2 years at Morgan, he began his pharmacy training at Hampton University School of Pharmacy and received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2012. Prior to receiving his PharmD, Ricky worked as an intern at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC and CVS Pharmacy in Maryland.

As a current PGY1 resident at Sinai, Ricky has interests in critical care pharmacy and infectious disease. He plans to complete a specialized PGY2 residency in either clinical field. Professionally, he strives to be one of the best pharmacists in his field and advocates excellence in care.

Outside of the field of pharmacy, Ricky can be found in church, in which he is a worship leader and instrumentalist. He is also enjoys playing sports and is an avid Washington Redskins fan.

Dr. Aditi Shah received her Pharm.D. from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in May of 2012. She is currently a PGY-1 resident with a variety of interests; including Ambulatory Care and Infectious Diseases.M

Her daily activities differ depending on the rotation she is on; but generally includes rounding with the team, interviewing patients, and making recommendations. She is a member of ASHP and APhA. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing/ painting, watching basketball, and baking.
