The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers expectant mothers a wide range of options when giving birth. One is the use of a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to assist mothers in delivering their babies. CNMs are registered nurses educated in the two disciplines of nursing and midwifery. They provide care to women across the age span.
Services include: preconceptual counseling, maternity care, gynecological exams, family planning, menopausal management and counseling in health maintenance and disease prevention.
Sinai midwifery patients have the assurance of 24-hour physician back up provided by Sinai Ob/Gyn Associates
